Why She Started The EduTech Brands
We asked Mariam why she started her brands, this is what she said:
Let me start with Discorz App. The idea behind the app is a true-life story. I have a child that was struggling in school and needed help so badly. We didn’t understand his needs and struggles on time because we had no clue what was being taught in school.
This went on for a while until I decided to be close to his teacher to see how we could help. I created a follow-up schedule with the teacher and we did this for a full school year. I became so involved in his school activities, and assignments and monitored his grades. This was stressful for me but it worked.
I felt there are other parents who have children going through similar situations. Then the app idea came and we rolled it out without any delays. We are getting a lot of positive responses and as of today, some schools are already using the app in the Dallas School District in the United States. We hope to spread across more school districts in America and also other parts of Africa.
For TechaVilly, it was just a case of providing tech skills that will help people get deserving jobs to live a better life.
