Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has opened up about the continued backlash directed at her and her family, addressing the controversy in a lengthy statement shared on social media.

The actress cautioned members of the public against being easily swayed by individuals who claim to have proof or evidence without providing credible context to support their allegations.

Iyabo stressed that she has never considered herself an ordinary actress or celebrity, noting that activism has always been an important part of her identity.

According to her, her outspoken nature and involvement in activism may be responsible for some of the criticism and attacks she receives.

She further stated that much of the noise surrounding her is linked to her decision to speak up on issues she believes in. Despite the backlash, Iyabo maintained that she has no regrets about taking a stand, insisting that she believes she has consistently chosen the right path.

The actress also dismissed any suggestion that she would deliberately share false information online. She maintained that she would never knowingly publish fabricated content on her social media platforms.

No one is above the law. Don’t be deceived. The law and justice will take their full course.

Also, please, It’s 2026. Please stop believing anyone who comes online to manipulate grown adults like you…

Also, kindly note this: I was never just an Ordinary actress or celebrity. Activism has been, and will always be, a part of me.

I have NO regrets. I repeat, I have NO regrets helping and fighting for those I fought for.

If I had the opportunity to do it again, I would.

I just no longer bring it to social media.

All this noise these miscreants call “attacks” is a result of my activism.

And I honestly have no regrets because I have stood on the right path.

1 with God is a majority, and my confidence lies solid in Him.

No one is bigger than God, so that no one can rewrite my story or my kids’ story. No matter how hard they plot, curse, defame, manipulate, twist and bark.

My family and I are God’s chosen.

Also, to be clear to all those- our amazing fans and loved ones who are truly worried- please be at peace. God is in control.

His blessings in our lives are a testament to His grace, greatness, celebration, and protection.

We have continued to progress, and my family and I will continue to do so in God’s likeness and glory.
