Ratisha who has now gaduated with honors from Queens University of Charlotte with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration says it was worth. Set to start new job at EY as a Mergers & Acquisition Consultant.

Sharing the lengthy post on LinkedIn, she wrote:

Eight years ago, I left my home country and everything I used to call home. I arrived in the US with two luggage, a dream, and limited knowledge of English. It is almost impossible to describe how challenging transitioning from one country to another is. It is a lot of sacrifices, obstacles, and rejections that we need to go through as immigrants to achieve our goals.

These past few years have been very demanding. I was working two jobs, attending classes until 9 PM, completing school projects, studying for exams, and doing volunteer work while still waking up at 4:30 AM to work out and take care of my mental health. At times, I felt overwhelmed with a lot of anxiety, but I never gave up because “there is a light at the end of every tunnel”. I can now reflect and say:

It was all worth it!

I am thrilled to share that I graduated with honors magna cum laude from Queens University of Charlotte with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. These last 4 years have been nothing but a great learning experience that I will carry forever with me.

Thank you Queens University of Charlotte and the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte of Business along with its faculty members for the support and opportunities given to me throughout these years.

I would like to recognize important people who took part in this journey. My parents for always supporting me, my Mentor James Bolling for his time, mentorship, and leadership, and my friends who believed in my capabilities. I would not have achieved this without their support.

Last and most importantly, I am very excited to announce that I have joined my dream company EY as a Mergers & Acquisition Consultant. I will be working with the Valuation and Financial Due diligence team. I am eager to learn, grow and contribute to my new role.

As I begin the next chapter of my career, I would like to thank the recruiter and the ones who helped me throughout the recruiting process.

Your failures, challenges, and rejections today will be part of your story tomorrow. Never give up!
