Why do bad things happen to good people? I met her through her sister way back in 2002, her sister was my friend. She was a good girl, very reserved and hard working.

She always told me that she won’t have anything to do with anyman until she is married, that was because she was a virgin.

Trouble started for her when she moved to port-harcourt to stay with her relative, she always go to her relative shop, to help her sell provisions.
She closes very late, which is not ideal for a lady. She was dragged into a quiet corner and raped by 3 guys around 9:pm in the night, she was going home when it happened.

This resulted into an unwanted pregnancy, she was young and naive. She knew nothing about contraceptive, and abortion was the last thing on her mind.

She had the baby, worst part of it all is that, they were 3 men and so she doesn’t know the father of the child.
When she shared her woes with me, and i kept wondering why her? One look at that child would only remind her of that very incident, as the child does not look like her. Today that boy lives with her mum and she is yet to get married. She doesn’t deserve this kind of life. Really sad.
