Lady Who Was Bullied Because Of Her Hearing Loss, & Was Depressed, Finally Succeeds As She Graduates With A Law Degree

A young pretty lady named Toyosi Badejo-Okusanya has shared the problems she encountered in school.

Toyosi was being bullied because of her hearing loss, and it made her to struggle with depression and low self-esteem.

She also struggled with hearing what lecturers said.

But she won’t let all that derail her purpose as she went on to graduate with a 2.1 in law. Toyosi added that it pays to believe in yourself even if no one else does.

Sharing her testimony with friends on LinkedIn, she wrote:

I truly can’t recognise this woman but I know she’s been in me all along. After being bullied because of my hearing loss, I began this journey struggling with depression and low self-esteem. I struggled with recognising my value. I struggled massively with hearing what lecturers said and there weren’t many adjustments made for me.

After seeing who God saw me as, I decided to walk in purpose with intention in March 2020. That changed my life because I began believing in that woman before I even saw her born.

It’s easy to see a disability or weakness and victimise yourself, but it’s worth it to never let your weaknesses limit you.

What you magnify will be produced- how you respond to your problems will determine the fruit you bear.

I had one goal and achieved it. Graduating with a 2:1 in Law along with a first-class dissertation in Law. My priority has been knowing my worth and the vision. I emphasise the importance of writing down the vision and being specific about it because it truly pays off.

If anyone is wondering what it means to walk in purpose, I am a living testimony of it. It pays to believe in yourself even if no one else does. It pays to make sacrifices and keep pushing till you see results. Even being in a wilderness season pays off because joy is still present.

Excited for what the future holds!
