“This Is Me And This Is Chemo, Real Life Shit”-Lady Shares Her Horrible Experiences With Cancer

a lady named Marinda (Mari) O’Bryant who is presently treating cancer has shared her horrifying experiences on LinkedIn.

She wrote:

This is me and this is chemo. Real life shit.

No hair and my skin has gone haywire but it’s all part of the process, right?

I have such a hard time looking in the mirror now to see this person who’s been going through it but at the same time, I have to remember the bigger picture.

The bigger picture is to stop these tumors from growing and spreading and to live longer!!!

Life has taken another meaning after the past few weeks. After losing my grandma, I’ve been all over the place and a bit non responsive – all part of the grieving process. I’ll never get over it but will eventually find ways to get through the day.

A few more weeks of chemo and then scans so praying for good news!

Overall, I’m hanging in there! You know everyday is different of course but I’m getting through it – as warriors do!❤️❤️❤️

I wish her a speedy recovery.

Chemotherapy (often abbreviated to chemo and sometimes CTX or CTx) is a type of cancer treatment that uses one or more anti-cancer drugs (chemotherapeutic agents) as part of a standardized chemotherapy regimen.

Chemotherapy may be given with a curative intent (which almost always involves combinations of drugs), or it may aim to prolong life or to reduce symptoms (palliative chemotherapy).

Chemotherapy is one of the major categories of the medical discipline specifically devoted to pharmacotherapy for cancer, which is called medical oncology.
