She Recently Made History By Becoming The First Black Woman To Be Confirmed To The US Supreme Court, Meet Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson

Meet – Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, she recently made history by becoming the first black woman to be confirmed to the US Supreme Court, making her the 116th justice, to serve on the highest American court.

She will replace retiring 83-year-old Justice Stephen Breyer, who was confirmed to the bench in 1994.

Judge Jackson, a Harvard Law School graduate is also set to become the first Supreme Court justice to have served as a public defender who the Senate confirmed in 2021 to the powerful US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.
