Two days ago, I was conferred with a Doctorate in Law (PhD) from Lancaster University. When I started my PhD in 2017, after receiving a master’s waiver on account of excellent academic performance, I looked forward to this day with anticipation.

Though the journey was not always smooth sailing, I remain thankful for the tremendous support and back-to-back funding I received from Lancaster University.

Five years after losing my mum (my only surviving parent at the time) mid-way through my final year of university, things are surprisingly falling into pleasant places for me.

I look forward to starting my training contract with Allen & Overy next year. Meanwhile, I have enjoyed working with incredible people at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP whilst juggling part-time academic roles.

I anticipate that I will be open to short-term opportunities – both in the legal sector and academia – from September 2022. Please feel free to reach out if you have any opportunities available.

Thank you, everyone for your congratulatory messages on various platforms. Congratulations are indeed in order.
