Allow me to introduce myself—My name is Temidayo Moses.
On May 20, 2022, I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Y’all mind if I boast of myself real quick?
- Received no scholarships
- Failed a couple classes
- Below a 2.5 gpa for first half of college
- Financial blocks every year
- Only applied to about 5 internships and 2 full times
- Rejections + depression (heavy)
- Told I couldn’t graduate and rejected appeal from the director of operations (D.O.)
- More rejections
- No Sum Cum Laude or however you say it
- List goes on. Trust me
Now—y’all mind if I boast of my Lord Jesus real quick?
- Created a 6-figure barbering/hair-styling entrepreneurship, (IG- @timmytrims) with over 300+ clients. Scholarship could never. ✅
- Co-founded another business/podcast, FLO (IG- @theflo.co & @theflo.pod) ✅
- Never missed a semester despite financial blocks (even graduated a semester early) ✅
- Interned at top 4 consulting and banking firms (EY & Goldman Sachs) ✅
- Final round of top 2 tech companies in the globe (Google & Microsoft) ✅
- Remember the D.O. that said I couldn’t graduate? The very same man had to announce my name to walk across the graduation stage ✅
Lastly:
- Bachelors of Science in Information Science w/ Business Minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship ✅
- No Sum Cum Laude, but I accepted a Full-time Program Manager position at Google ✅
- Graduated practically debt-free ✅
- Started multiple organizations that curate leadership and community impact ✅
- Opportune as lead pianist for multiple churches ✅
- Showed me who I am as a man, leader, and His son 🤝🤝🤝
I’ll say it again: if you only knew my story… you’d understand why I am who I am.
This just half the blessings. But if you credit me for the accomplishments, you’ve missed it.
Again, allow me to introduce myself—my name is Temidayo Moses.
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
Really big thank you to Amanda (Ama) Howard, Laura Brabham, and Lauren Urbanski for taking the chance and reaching out with such great opportunity!
Special thank you to my family, friends, and family (you know yourselves). The prayers, encouragements, everything… words do not suffice.
New chapter but I refuse to be stagnate. This path is not for myself, but to impact the lives of others. Just the beginning.
