
Ali Virtue is talented and also an inspiration to young ladies, she speaks to Elora’Blog in this interview.
Please tell us about your background?
I am from the North centre part of Nigeria, kogi state. I’m from a family of four, of which I am the youngest. I was born and brought up in Rivers State, got my first degree certificate in Biomedical technology from the University of Port Harcourt.
You’re an Entrepreneur, what’s your line of business?
My brand name is VSAFRIQUE and My line of business is youth empowerment and fashion, as I am a skill acquisition tutor and a skillful bead maker.

What Inspired you to start up your business?
I got my inspiration from my love for hand craft and my desire to change the dependence young people have on white collar jobs.
How were you able to raise fund for your business?
I started my business with #2000, I bought my first bead materials in NYSC orientation camp, during myself service year, I saved up money from my “allowee” which I invested into growing my business and ever since then, all I have been doing Has been investing and re-investing. Then family has really been financially supportive.
How do you advertise your business?
I use my social media platforms for adverts.
How does it feel being your own boss?
*laughing*
Responsibility is the word I will use, although
Sometimes the feeling is that of excitement but when you remember the work that comes with “being your own boss”, you will just forget about the feeling.
What are the challenges you’ve faced while running your business?
The challenges I am still facing you mean, It ranges from finance to marketing, to getting clients, to dealing with students, etc. They are much, but I am grateful to God who has taught me balance over time.

Where do you see your brand in 5 years?
Five years from now I want to own the biggest institution, where skills alone are taught. Five years from now, I want to be known all over Nigeria and Africa as “the skill tutor”.
