Please introduce yourself?

I grew up in a close knit family, I was so close to my father until he passed away in my SS2..life then became difficult for us, I gained admission into the university and there was no money, that was when I knew I had to start something to help myself through school

You’re an Entrepreneur, What’s your line of business?

I’am a makeup artist, an Event Planner, A Business Planner, A crocheter and a contractor with the Federal Government.

What inspired you to start up your business?

I got Admission into the university and things became really difficult for me, I didn’t want to involve in any promiscuous life so I had to come up a business idea which was makeup and event planner, that was 6 years ago.

How were you able to raise fund for your business?

I started with my last card which was 20k at the time, I bought few cheap makeup equipments and I was doing free jobs for people as at that time so that I will be known for my work first, I also used part of the money to make flyers and distributed to schools, churches etc.

How do you advertise your business?

I advertise mainly using social media platforms, flyers, word of mouth by satisfied customers, family members etc.

How does it feel being your own boss?

It feels really good, I don’t have yo wait for my husband to provide my every need, instead I assist him with responsibility in the house…
I can conveniently afford whatever I want without asking him for money.

Has it been financially rewarding?

It has been rewarding, but the most important thing is to do your work with passion, forget about the gain first…once you are passionate about your job, you will make it financially even if its not immediately.

Where do you see your brand in 5 years?

I see myself at the peek of my carrier in 5 years time, all it takes is consistency, hardworking and determination…. Thank you
