Man Who Worked As A Cleaner At Several London Nightclubs, Succeeds, Becomes An Engineer, Shares Motivational Post

As an international student in UK, I worked as a cleaner at several London nightclubs. Everyone dancing, singing, I had to make sure the floor is dry and no one stepped on broken glass.

You get elbows on your head as you try to clean, some will get drunk and throw up, you clean it.

I love my job then, as it gave me opportunity to earn. There was a particular club that hosted student nights and British students come to have a good time.

I always look after them, made friends and tips me. They knew I was a struggling student, so a good number of them tip me regular.

It was tough managing school, night shift and you still have to do your little to help back home.

Several years later working as an engineer, I stepped out for lunch, I met one of those old student customers. He was now a Doctor at the NHS. He was happy I pushed through.

I was happy I didn’t give up. We are all work in progress. The road is not easy for a poor African child.

Education still remains our best shot at success. We must continue to give it our best every day and by Gods grace, it will end in joy and happiness.
