Man Visits The School He Could Not Attend Because Funding Was A Major Challenge

A man named Olumide Onabanjo has shared a short story on how he has always desired to attend the Wageningen University, but funding was a major challenge because he never got a scholarship.

Nevertheles Olumide visited a friend at the Netherlands and use that opportunity to explore the Wageningen campus. He took photos at the front of the University.

Sharing the photos on LinkedIn, he wrote:

I have always wanted to study at Wageningen University & Research but then it never happened.

I remember sometimes in July 2020 when i took the Massive open Onlince professional course on Animal Breeding and Genetics offered by the University, then professor Hans Komen at the end of each Video would say “I hope one day you would get to visit Wageningen” and i would say to myself “Yes! I am coming” 😀😀😀.

Unfortunately it just didnt work out even though i gained admission to the University on two occasions but funding was a major challenge as i didn’t get the Orange Knowledge Program (OKP) and African Scholarship Program (ASP) that could have provided funded my master education.

Fast forward to the New Year break, i decided to enjoy my holiday with my good friend John Ifejube in the Netherlands. I felt it would be a great opportunity to visit places in Nethelands most especially the campus of Wageningen University & Research. Indeed it was a great sight to behold. Maybe in the Future i would get to study in this great institution.

Also, I had the opportunity to meet Temitope Oriowo one of the selfless scholars who took his time to review my essays For the European Master in Animal Breeding and Genetics Scholarship program which i won in 2021.

The Holiday is over.. Back to Work..
