Man Celebrates New Job As He Becomes Software Engineer In Microsoft

A young man named Maurice Calloway is elated at the moment as he just landed a job in Microsoft. Sharing the news on his LinkedIn platform, he wrote;

Excited to announce that I have accepted a full-time offer with Microsoft as a Software Engineer. Being here for 4 years as an intern has been quite the ride and I honestly never would have expected to be anywhere near where I am out of high school.

It all started with the New Technologists where I first got a glimpse of what it was like to be a person of color in the tech world and a much needed reminder that I was absolutely cut out for this even if it didn’t seem like it at the time. From there it’s been history.

There are so many people who have been pivotal for my success over the past years and I want to specifically shoutout Kobie Hatcher and Vanessa Feliberti who were the ones that saw my potential as a software engineer.

I also want to thank Candice Garza, M.Ed who helped give me so much critical feedback and life tips for in and out of the NT program (31 Savage all day!!!!). And final thanks to all the people and teams that I have worked with for the past 3 years I’m glad I was able to provide benefit to each team that I’ve been on.
