Lady Who Was Discouraged By Friends To Defer Her PHD Admission Because Of Her 1 Month Old Baby, Shares Inspiration As She Continues Her Program

A lady named Fasilat Hassan has shared how she started her PHD program while her baby was just a month old and she was discouraged by her friends to quit because of her baby.

She did not listen but continued with her program.. She shares few Inspirational messages about her experiences.

Fall 2021, I resumed for my PhD program in Biomedical sciences at University of Tennessee Health science center with a Graduate Research Assistant position.

At the time of resumption, many friends and relatives advised I defer the admission because I had my baby who was just about a month old.

However, I was determined to pursue my dream and start my PhD program.

I am glad that I have a family who believes in me and understands the need to give their utmost support to pursuing my dream.

It was a wonderful semester despite the challenges of schooling and nursing a baby.
I thank God for the support so far and as I resume for the Spring semester, I pray it gets easier 🤣🤣😁😄 and better.

I hope this post inspires ladies who wishes to pursue their career and also intend to start a family. With determination, it is possible…. stay positive and work towards your goal.
