Lady Who Got Opportunity From LinkedIn To Serve In KPMG Celebrates The Platform
Young lady named UIjeoma Onwuka has shared an inspirational story in how the LinkedIn platform has impacted her career.
She got contacted on LinkedIn and eventually did her youth service on KPMG. Celebrating the great platform, she wrote:
My KPMG Story. Yesterday marked the end of an interesting year in my life. On the 2nd of October 2020, a recruiter from KPMG Nigeria reached out to me here on LinkedIn. (That’s why I do not joke with this platform).
He wanted to check my eligibility for their Graduate trainee program and it turned out that I have already applied since December 2019, but because of Covid-19, it was placed on hold.
Since I was eligible, this gave me the opportunity to do my National Youth Service with the firm. (For those that do not understand, it is one year of service to Nigeria).
Working at KPMG Nigeria as an Audit Intern was the highlight of my service year. That was the first working experience I have ever had, and it is an unforgettable one. I had the opportunity to work and learn from my colleagues and visited a lot of clients for various audit engagements.
I want to thank my KPMG Nigeria colleagues and the group of graduates I served with for making this year as enjoyable as it was.
A special shoutout to the recruiter that reached out to me. Thank you for giving me the chance to have my very first work experience. I will never forget you.😭😭 This marks the end of my service year and the closure of a chapter. I am excited for what the future holds and I am looking forward to my next challenge.😁 Thank you KPMG Nigeria for this wonderful experience.
I will never forget where I started from, and I will always be KPMG Proud.🤝 #NYSC #Nigeria #Kpmgproud.
