Lady Narrates How She Posed With A Suit She Could Not Afford For An Emirate Interview Almost 20 Years Ago, She Got The Job

Lady named Maria Conceicao has shared a throwback photo of suit she posed with for an emirate Interview almost 20 years ago.

She didn’t have money but she wanted to look eligible for the job, so she got a suit and snapped with it and returned it because she could not afford it.

That strategy worked for her cause they were over a 100 people who applied for the job but she was amongi the only 2 that got the job.

She shared the story in LinkedIn.

See her post below;

This is what I wore when I applied to Emirates Airlines, almost 20 years ago.

I had no money; I was living in London working all hours of the day in 2 different jobs.

The first interview was a formality, but I realised there that I was at a disadvantage due to my lack of qualifications, so I really had to stand out.

I had to have a good strategy, besides researching every tiny detail about Emirates Airlines.

I noticed in the first interview that everybody was wearing a standard black interview outfit, so I decided to do something different.

I wanted to look as much as possible like an Emirates Air Cabin Crew.

I found a suit very similar to the Emirates uniform in the Benetton shop, I wore it to the interview and for the photo shoot.

The next day I took the suit back to Benetton and got my money back, I could not afford it.

It worked. From 100 people who were interviewed, only 2 got a job offer, and I was one of them.

Thank you #Emirates Airlines, but most of all thank you #Benneton 😉
