
Lady Dedicates Her Master’s Degree To Mom Who Bagged PhD At 50 Despite Health Issues
South African Lady, Portia Lehasa who just bagged her Master of Commerce in Accountancy from North West University (NWU), has dedicated everything to her educated mother that inspired her.
Portia Lehasa said she was inspired to pursue her master’s by her mom, who bagged her Ph.D. at the age of 50 while battling several health issues. In a post on LinkedIn, Portia shared beautiful snaps of herself and her mother in their academic attire and shared a moving story:
“Master of Commerce in Accountancy officially conferred! Glory to God! Mamma, this one is for you! “My Mother obtained a Ph.D. in her 50s while suffering from major health challenges, what an inspiration you are to me Mamma, thank you for always encouraging me when I felt like giving up, you are proof that with God all things are possible and that if you don’t give up in life and you continue to persevere, things will work out.”
