As shared by Omoni Oboli On Her Facebook Page
My mom was a school teacher and as you have heard them say, all teachers have their reward in heaven (I pray she’s being handsomely rewarded there) but she had many other hustles.
My sister and I had to wake up at 4am every morning to bake pastries for sale, we fried groundnuts and bottled them for sale. She also bought bags of sea food from the sea port which we had to clean and bag to sell to supermarkets (very painstaking and smelly work 😩) and on weekends, we went to her farm where we planted cassava and some other foods (I’m still working on my food business) So I was brought up to know that one hustle is never enough.
I’ve always done other businesses apart from filmmaking. Some you know, some you don’t. I’ve been up to my neck with Love Is War (which is still in the cinemas if you haven’t watched it) but movie making isn’t the only thing I have been up to lately. For the last one year, we’ve been working on a new project and it’s been the hardest secret to keep 😅
I can’t wait to share but in the meantime…can you guess? #AlwaysRememberThatILoveYou
