A 26-year-old graduate researcher in Architecture from Ghana, Georgina Esi Takyi-Annan, has been selected to join 24 others from 21 countries in Germany for the Green Talents Awards. Georgina, who is studying at the Southeast University in China, impressed the jury with her passion for her research work. They were of the view that her work could help raise awareness for a sustainable form of architecture.

It is also hoped that it would help deal with challenges that come with the implementation of green buildings. Citinewsroom.com reports that the event was held under the auspices of Germany’s federal ministry of education and research. It is under the patronage of the minister, Anja Karliczek and seeks to reward young international researchers yearly for helping to create sustainable societies.
Georgina’s focus is on the use of a green and sustainable design approach to achieving affordable housing in developing countries and West Africa.
