Childhood Dreams: I Wanted To Become A T.V Presenter – By Elora Akpotosevbe

Growing up as little girl, if I was asked about my favorite profession, I would say I loved to be a presenter on television.

While I was younger, after school hours, I was always glued to the TV, watching news on NTA and adverts done by pretty young ladies. Hearing the voices of the newscasters, I felt is something I can do, as i’m eloquent as well.

I also admired the ladies advertising different products on t.v and I felt like I had their kind of personality too, I hoped and desired to be on t.v someday.

But the opportunity eluded me.

So last year Xmas 2020, the guy who designed my blog for me, first of all, he has been a wonderful friend and quite influential in my blogging career.

He asked me to start up a YouTube channel, he’s on the platform too.

So despite the fact is that I could not be on T.V, but hello being on YouTube is global, it projects you to the world, so no regrets about not fulfilling my career dreams.

Prior to the time he asked me to start, it was one of my business idea to feature Entrepreneurs live while they are at work in their different kind of businesses, I will video them and ask few questions about their products, but I kept procrastinating because it will require alot of time travelling and finance.

I also had another amazing idea, to visit different bars, eateries, hangout, do a video of it all and put it in my YouTube channel for people who are new in town and really don’t know the nice places to visit. I titled it PLACES.

I can just sit down and more ideas kept popping up. I thank God for the amazing talents he has blessed me with and I am glad that when there is no way, we can still make a way utilising the internet. Winks😁

So my friend cajoled me once again saying YouTube pays him better than blogging.

Truth is I can’t stop blogging, so I had to start the YouTube channel alongside blogging.

And now I have started my YouTube channel, it’s one of the most easiest thing I’ve ever done cause I love making videos.

So I started drafting more business ideas, I intend to share on my YouTube channel, it’s going to be tasking for me, cause I love to entertain people, I am the kind of person that walk into a room and light up the whole place, I am spontaneous. The goal is to go viral someday and make an impact with videos that are motivating, inspirational but not controversial. Wish me luck.
