The last time I was in Chief MKO Abiola’s house was 27 years ago when my then Uncle, who happened to be his driver, brought me to see my mentor and the champion of our democracy – Chief MKO Abiola. I was stupefied, standing in front of my hero.

He looked at me and asked “what is your name young man?”
“My name is Olasijibomi sir”, I responded beaming with smiles.
He touched my head and said to me “Oluwa ati Ola asiji bo e”.

I believed HIM then and I believe it even more now because, this encounter shaped my future, and today has opened a new chapter in my destiny.

Something I’ve learnt over the years is that the people you meet will either break you or make you. The 3 minutes encounter with Chief MKO transformed my thought process and helped reposition my life.
