“Time For Banky W To Shine” – Mixed Reactions As Tribunal Sacks Labour Party Lawmaker, Thaddeus Attah Of Eti-Osa Federal Constituency

Social media users are reacting to the news of the Tribunal sacking Labour Party Lawmaker, Thaddeus Attah of Eti-Osa Federal Constituency.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) proclaimed Attah of the LP as the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat winner in the House of Representatives election.

His surprise win created a buzz on social media, especially as many claimed he used the LP influence to secure the position and was further challenged in court by opposing parties.

The Tribunal sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State, had nullified his victory, on the basis that the election didn’t hold in about 40 polling units in the LGA.

The court has ordered INEC to conduct a supplementary election in the 32 polling units of Eti-Osa within 90 days.

Reacting to the news, while many rejoiced over the opportunity of Banky W winning the election this time, others noted how it was all a strategy to install APC into power.
