This Young Mind From Cameroon Is Turning Plastic Waste Into EcoBoat, Meet Ismaël Essome Ebone

This young mind from Cameroon is turning plastic waste into EcoBoat.

Ismaël Essome Ebone found a unique way to recycle plastic waste by using plastic bottles to make a boat (EcoBoat).

He was inspired to make the EcoBoats when he saw plastic wastes floating in the floodwaters during a storm in 2011.

Ebone started collecting littered bottles to give shape to his idea of canoe made of plastic bottles.

After bringing his idea to life he had to test the durability of EcoBoat.

He waited till the next flood, he successfully rowed the EcoBoat through the flooding water.

Encouraged by the success of EcoBoat, Ebone built up confidence and invested his money in setting up a non-profit charity organisation, called Madiba & Nature.

Madiba & Nature is dedicated to collect plastic wastes across the localities in Cameroon and recycling it to build boats for ecotourism and fishermen.
