The saying that “what is meant to be will be” is in fact true. I got interested in engineering when I was in high school but I didn’t know the particular engineering program I wanted to study.
Almost five years ago, when I bought admission forms to KNUST, my Dad asked me to choose Nursing because he thought that would have been cost effective and I did. Some months down the line, we went to see a certain man.
When he got to know that I had chosen Nursing, he advised me to change it to engineering programs specifically Petrochemical Engineering as my first choice and Chemical Engineering as my second.
I decided to read more about these two and I fell more in love with Chemical Engineering mainly because of it’s diversity. I swapped the positions and when it came, I was admitted to study Chemical Engineering.
I did not actually know what laid ahead of me when I chose said program. When school started, it was a struggle for me but I knew this was what I wanted so I always strived to improve my grades. Not only that, I strived to grasp the concepts that will make me a great Chemineer.
This First Class Honours I’ve received is a badge of honour. It represents everything I embody as a Chemical Engineer. The future looks way brighter but I want to take this moment to celebrate my achievement. It was not easy but I did it. God did!🙌
