“Never Got An Academic Award In My Country” Nigerian Man Who Was Awarded Robert Nunemacher ($5,000 Scholarship Says
A man named Olalekan Ayodele has shared his testimony on how he’s been celebrated and appreciated in another country. He was an exceptional student in a research program that impacts production agriculture.
Sharing photos on LinkedIn, he captioned it;
Never got an academic award in my country (Nigeria) from my undergraduate (5 years) and Masters (2years), this happened in less than 2 years of my PhD in the United States Of America.
On the 8th of September, I was awarded Robert Nunemacher Scholarship ($5,000) for 2021-22 by Kansas State University College of Agriculture.
The Nunemacher scholarship is committed to an exceptional student in a research program that impacts production agriculture. When I think about my research, I’m always grateful for the gift of my advisor (Dr. Jeremy S Cowan, Ph.D. ) whose continuous support has yielded/‘ing tremendous results.
Sometimes, we work from 3:00AM to 12:30AM the following day, sometimes weekends, getting to the farm at 5:30AM … ‘Regardless of how challenging it is, keep at it, it shall be bountifully rewarded in due season’
Picture 1: Our red eyes at past midnight Many thanks to all who have supported along the way, we are still in the process. As I plan the phase 2 of my research, I need help, volunteers are welcome.
