
Mother Cries Out Over Her Missing Child After Kwara Church Attack Leaves Many Abducted
A female member of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Isegun, located on Okeado Street in the Ekuru community of Kwara State, has cried out in anguish after her child was listed among the “35 worshippers” abducted during a bandit attack on Tuesday, November 18.
‘’I have not see my child ooo!! Timileyin my child! I have not seen my child since yesterday ooo!!!’’ she wailed, overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty.
According to another church member, the congregation had gathered for a thanksgiving service in celebration of members who were freed after being kidnapped three weeks earlier. Their joy was cut short when arm£d men stormed the church around 6pm.
‘’The incident happened at about 6 in the evening. The arm£d bandits came to our church. They k+dnapped almost 35 members of our church, three were killed and one is in the hospital.
We were doing thanksgiving service for the people that were kidnapped about three weeks ago and all of them were rescued. That is why we were doing the evening service to thank God for the rescue of those people,’’ the member recounted.
The community remains in shock as families await updates on their missing loved ones.
