Please tell us about your background?

You’re an Entrepreneur, tell us more about your business?
I am an artist, an author, a book editor and a writers coach. Basically, I draw and deliver commissioned art works across the globe. I write, edit manuscripts and coach upcoming writers. I also run an online event, WISDOM BOX, which is always an inspiring session.

What inspired you to start up your business?
My business is far from my course of study in the University. As a little girl, I used to draw and write but I swept those talents beneath the rug for years until I completed the mandatory NYSC. I never planned to fold my arms waiting for a white collar job. In no time, I realised that I could actually turn my talents into a profitable business. That’s what motivated me to begin my business.

How were you able to raise fund for your business?
Talking about raising funds, it didn’t cost me much to start up. I began by purchasing some art materials and notebooks.

How do you advertise your business?
I just launched my website. I advertise my business on the internet by running Facebook Ads, selling my books on other platforms and the likes.

What are the challenges you’ve faced while running your business?
The challenges are not so visible; I render many services though. Most times, my clients’ orders clash but I fix that. Someone could be ordering for a drawing and another could be requesting that I edit a book. When this happens, it means I would have to cancel all free periods.

How does it feel being your own business?
It feels really awesome. Unlike the regular 08:00am – 04:00pm kind of jobs, my schedule is flexible. I choose when to take a break and when to work. It feels like a bird in the air.

Has it ben financially rewarding?
Absolutely!
Rather than wait for a fixed monthly income, I get paid weekly, bi-monthly or monthly as the case may be.

Where do you see your brand in 5 years?
My vision 2023
I see myself publishing nothing less than 20books. I see myself owning a well-known studio for art exhibition and tourism. In five years, WISDOM BOX should be a TV and radio programme
I should have built a full time writing academy solely for training upcoming writers and raising exceptional prolific writers.
