Obinnaya Christopher Ozulu, is a young guy who discovered his talent early, he speaks to Elora’s Blog in this interview.

Please introduce yourself?
My name is Obinnaya Christopher Ozulu, hails from Amenu Edem-ani in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State Nigeria. I graduated last year (2017) from the Department of Fine and Applied Arts University of Nigeria Nsukka. Studied Painting. I’m currently practicing Art in Nsukka and as well awaits my Nysc call-up letter.

You’re an Entrepreneur, what’s your line of business?

Yes, I’m an entrepreneur. I specialize in Paintings and drawings which includes : Portraits (self or group portraits), landscapes, abstract and conceptual drawing and painting. I also engages in wall interiors and exterior designs , I design awards. Apart from these afformentioned, as an entrepreneur I do anything arts.

What inspired you to startup the business?

My desire to keep my talents burning. For me to be oportuned and graced with such talent, I saw the necessity of making my Passion my Profession, and that kept me going.

How were you able to raise fund for the business?

Whenever I work for people, I save up little amount to get some materials and that has been my way of generating funds for my business.

How do you advertise your business?

Social media has been a great source of publicity for me. I advertise on Facebook, Instagram and whatsapp. But facebook remains my major area of publicity, I’m currently managing a page on facebook.

What are the challenges you’ve faced while running your business?

That’s one of the major things one encounters on the road to success. My greatest challenge here is the fact that so many people don’t value the effort, time and dedication you spend trying to produce an artwork for them. They love good things but would want to spend little or nothing to get it. Which is not encouraging most times.

How does it feel being your own boss?

Smiles… Just as you said “My own boss” , I will feel Amazing. I mean, who wouldn’t want that? It’s the best feeling ever.

Has it been financially rewarding?

Yes it has. Feels even better when you work with the right clients that knows the value of what you do.

Where do you see brand in 5 years?

To be sincere with you, for as long as I have my breath, I’m good to go. I’m going places and I won’t stop till I’m done. This might be in a year or more.
