Man Who Was Laid Off Due To Health Challenge, Starts New Job At KPMG

A man named Eromosele Ebojie has shared an emotional story on how he got laid off because of his health challenges and later got a better offer in KPMG. Sharing on his LinkedIn platform, he wrote;

Today I resumed at KPMG Nigeria . The joy in my heart is full.

For the last 8+ months , I have battled with a nagging health challenge that has temporarily impacted and impaired my movement and mobility. Day after day comes with extreme pain, limb weakness , imbalance but to mention a few.

Within the last 7months I have been let go by my firm due to health reasons, denied jobs at three Nigerian owned firms despite haven passed all assessment stages. When seen physically, they rescind their offer.

One HR representative even said to me “You should be sleeping, we don’t want your type here (referring to my current walking impediment ).

You won’t give a good look to our business “.

At a physical assessment 2+ months ago, I got to the venue and the HR representative wouldn’t even allow me sit for the next stage. She said “I would be serious with you, you don’t look good for our business “.

As she turned me out, she asked for my name for documentation which I gave her . As I walked out, her supervisor walked in and she whispered to her as I walked away, she gave an involuntary but audible scream and said “ahhhh, he was the most qualified of all who applied “.

Rejection after rejection, mockery after mockery. Now I have been given the opportunity to serve at the great KPMG Nigeria with the concession to work remotely and periodically report physically.

God I thank you for your faithfulness. KPMG, I thank you for the opportunity to serve in the advisory unit .

Whatever set back you may have encountered in your career or personal life, please keep pushing on . Keep working, keep believing . Keep learning. Trust God and his faithfulness. His love is ever new.

Stay blessed .

Congratulations to him.
