Man Shares Heartbreaking Story Of How His Mum Died Of Breast Cancer In Year 2012

9 years after, James Adeniyi has remembered his mum who died of breast cancer. Sharing on his LinkedIn platform, he recounts moments in his ss1 midterm break and it’s so heartbreaking.

I came home for Mid-term Break as a SS1 student back in 2012

Getting home, I saw my beautiful mum on the sickbed diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Little boy I was then, I was just 12 years old.

Didn’t know what was happening at home

I was rejoicing that I was about to go home for the mid term break.

I would be free from school work and stress.

But getting home, I met bad moments.

People were already around the house.

They knew I will be coming back for midterm break and I would ask for my mum

Getting home with the happy mood of being at home for holiday.

Then I met my mum where she was laid.

I tried to speak to her..

But she couldn’t hear again

She couldn’t speak.

Just about to shout and cry.

People came around and held me back out of the room.

It was a sad midterm break for Me.

A week later, we lost her😭😭😭😭

I can’t even find a word to express the state I was throughout the midterm break.

I thought life will not be sweet for me again.

But here is me saying continue to rest in the bosom of our Lord ma

I’m glad I came into this world through you

And it’s my goal to make you happy even wherever you are now and you’ll be glad you have me as a son.

Why I’m I sharing this?

It is God who keeps.

Don’t lose hope when you lose your loved ones.

It is God who gives them to you.

If he takes them back, he has the power to keep you.

Keep relying on him

From that time in SS1 till now, I’m already in my penultimate year studying Petroleum Engineering.

It has been the grace of God.

I give Glory to God.
