Man Looses Dad, Says
“The Wisdom & Teachings My Dad Gave Me, Made Me The Man I Am Today”

A young heartbroken man Solomon Jordan has shared a sad story as his dad passes on.

Solomon narrated how his dad inspired him to become the man he’s today.

Sharing the lengthy post on LinkedIn with a photo of his dad, he wrote:

Just found out that my dad passed.

Don’t think it has fully hit me yet.

For those who don’t know my father was brought up in a strict religion where even if your own son didn’t want to follow the belief system, you had to cut them off completely. No communication or help completely, which resulted in me leaving my dads household when I was 18 years old.

That being said it was pretty hard to get on my feet, but with the wisdom and teachings my dad gave me I was able to become the man I am today. Not to mention my dad rescued me, my brother and sister from one of the most horrific upbrings a kid could go through with their mother.

My mother was on drugs before I was even born. Its hard to remember positive experiences as a child with my mother. My living conditions were those of a kid in a book called “A Child Called It”, where the kids mother tortured her child in numerous ways, physically and mentally . I don’t wish my child hood on anyone. When my dad picked up me and my brother it felt like I was going from Hell to Heaven.

I was the oldest, so when my mother was gone for days at a time on drug binges, I would have to get my brother and sister ready for school and feed them. I was doing this around 8 years old. Other members of my family were astonished at how responsible I was at a young age.

My dad would go through trail letigations for long periods of time to get custody of me, my brother and my sister. We would go back and forth in child protective services when staff memebers of my elementary school found out the horrendous living conditions me and my siblings were living in.

At one point in time my dad would finally get custody of me and my siblings, which was a feat God helped him with he would always tell me haa.

I say all that to say this.

My dad is a Hero.

We may have had our differences as far as belief systems go, which didn’t allow us to communicate much, but I learned to love him unconditionally because if it wasn’t for this man I’d probably be dead or in Jail.

I love you dad.

Thank you for rescuing me and my siblings, and teaching me how to be a man.

My life has been a struggle up until this point, and I know I’m not special. We all go through trails and tribulations…

But I’m going to need all the love I can get to get through this time in my life.
