A man named Victor Nzeata has shared an amazing transformational photo of his family before they relocated to America. Victor and his, brither lost their dad and two years after they were homeless. Their testimony started after they relocated to America 22 years ago, their mum went with them. Sharing before and after photos on his LinkedIn platform, he wrote:
The picture on the top was taken soon after my family immigrated from Nigeria to Gary, Indiana.
The picture on the bottom is my family 22 years later, celebrating my brother’s first year as a licensed doctor and medical professor at Harvard. When I was young, we were homeless for two years after my father passed away. As immigrants, we faced unique challenges like language barriers and my mother learning to drive in her 30s. My entrepreneurial spirit comes from watching my mom study hard for her nursing exam and seeing her joy after she passed. Even though I was young, I remember the endless days in the library watching Cartoon Network as she studied.
My mom overcame her barriers through persistence as my brother and I took notes and watched. Just because you’re struggling does not mean you’re failing. Having the courage to go after your goals can motivate others to achieve their greatness.
