Man Hires Lady Who Stole 500k From His Client, Says She Deserves A Second Chance
A man named Ikechukwu Diamond has shown a very rare form of kindness to someone who visited his company for an interview and stole 500k from a client. One would expect that he should have arrested her immediately he came in contact with her. But he did not, but rather hired her for a job. Sharing the news on LinkedIn he wrote;
So today while conducting an interview, I saw a lady that I had interviewed 5 years ago who stole 500k from my client and stopped coming to work.
I managed to pay that debt because I was liable for whatever actions my candidates exhibit in their work place. When I saw her from the first floor waiting to be interviewed, I immediately asked the security not to let anyone leave the premises ones the interview starts.
Immediately it was her turn, our eyes kissed by fluke and we both recognized each other instantly. She fell to her knees and started begging for forgiveness. My fellow interviewers could not understand what was going on 😂😂 After 5 minutes of serious cry and begging for forgiveness , I raised her up and told her to wipe her tears. I told her to excuse us for 10 minutes that we will call her back in afterwards.
I explained everything to my colleagues all that had happened 5 years back, but while I was discussing with them, We got a call from the security post saying that a lady is insisting she wants to go home, So we all looked through the window to see who it was, and behold it was our dear sister trying to run away.
I told the security not to let her out and that she should come back up to complete her interview. She came back up and my colleague offered her a cup of tea ☕️ We asked her why she wanted to leave, but she didn’t respond. Then I stood up and walked towards her and gave her a big hug 🤗 She held on to me so tight and said she’s sorry in tears. My colleagues stood up and congratulated her. Ladies and gentlemen she got the job 👏 A second chance has been given, that was my final words to her before she left. So she will be resuming 1 November 2021 8:30am to close 5:30pm We all deserve a second chance in life.
