Lady Who Won 2 International Scholarships, Lands In US To Study For Her Masters Degree

Excited Nigerian Lady named Onyeka Efemena Enwesi has announced that she won two international scholarships as she just
arrived the US on a fully funded scholarship to study for her masters degree in Criminal Justice and Safety studies.

She shared the good news with friends on LinkedIn and thanked all her mentors, read her post below:

I’ve been so lazy to do this because I did same in April 2022, just 5 months ago.

Anyways !! to God’s glory alone, on Monday the 15th of August 2022 I arrived the US on a fully funded scholarship to study for my masters degree in Criminal Justice and Safety studies.

This year I’ve won two international scholarships and it seems truly the world is mine to conquer and I’m adding more goals to my conquering quest.

I am in a Department that has only two Africans ( I became the second person) and I hope to continue our legacy of academic success anywhere we go in the US.
I’m here to put myself on the map and give it my very best shot to succeed and distinguish myself academically.

I must not fail to thank Sanusi Turay OLY who took one look at my CV, had a 10 minutes conversation with me that bright Saturday afternoon and hired me on the spot (we had just met physically for the first time and known for a few months on LinkedIn). That job would become the catalyst that changed my life and propelled me to victory as l gained uncommon research and investigation knowledge. I’m his protegee and even when we don’t share the same political views, our views on the most important things align.

Today is also for my parents who gave it all for me to have the finest education money can buy in Nigeria. I’m happy they are alive to see me walk these paths of success. They are not rich people but their hardwork has created something good.

I thank Olatunji Oni who was the only person among 20+ people to accept my LinkedIn connection request and followed my case until I arrived the US. His input can never be underrated and he was all I needed. The one in 20+ whom the Lord had set apart to help me.

I thank Miyyah O. who gave me the ground breaking tip that connected me to Olatunji Oni. I hope you know you rock.

I thank Babajide Milton Macaulay, Ph.D. who walked with me from the early stage and motivated me for years until I was forced to run to him and say “Dr. I’m ready for the back breaking work”. With him I smashed all the preliminary work and understood what was to come.

By the grace of God, I look forward to coming back here to announce that we did it. Another Nigerian has put us on the map
