Lady Falls In Love With Man Who Was Diagnosed With Bone Cancer & Had His Leg Amputated, Their Set To Get Married

“Dipen & I were in the same college, but we’d hardly ever talked. So years later, in 2020, when he replied to one of my stories, it felt nice catching up.

We ended up chatting the entire day. It was so effortless. We reminisced about our college days & caught up on each other’s lives. I’d heard from our mutual friends that years ago, he was diagnosed with bone cancer & so he had to have his leg amputated. But hearing him narrate his story, I remember thinking, ‘What a strong man!’

He had my all respect & admiration.
Besides, I could feel the sparks right from the first ‘Hey!’ I mean, all my life, I tried finding my ‘Mr.perfect.’ I never felt the sparks I felt with Dipen. But, at that time, while I was in the UK, he was in Germany.

So for the next 2-3 months, we constantly texted each other. During one of our conversations, he confessed, ‘I had a crush on you in college!’
I was amazed. I thought, ‘We’re meant to be.’ No words were spoken, or promises of a future were made. We just knew.

And, if there were any apprehensions, they all went away when he surprised me 1 day by coming to the UK.

He even brought my favorite donuts. He took me on a chai date, & we drove around the city talking to each other.
Soon after he returned from Germany, we started meeting often. But, since we were still under lockdown, we’d often get a take-out & sit in our cars & talk or watch a movie together.

As months passed, I became confident in my feelings, so I decided to talk to my parents. They said, ‘If you’re happy, I’m happy’ And then Dipen told his parents too, & all they said was, ‘Get married already!’
I thought life couldn’t get any better, until 2021 arrived, and Dipen proposed to me…in the dreamiest way possible. He booked an airbnb & decorated it with flowers & candles.

I was in awe of how perfect everything was, so when he popped the question I said a big ‘YES!’

We’re going to get married soon. You know I’ve been asked by people before how’s it being with him, and all I say is ‘like the universe conspired for us to meet’ Because that’s how it feels. I truly believe that when 2 souls are meant to be together, nothing can stop them!” #InternationalDayofDisabledPersons
