Lady Celebrates As She Gets An Appointment To Serve On Washington State’s First Ever Environmental Justice
Pretty young lady named Nirae Petty has announced that she was appointed by Governor Inslee to serve on Washington State’s first ever Environmental
Justice (EJ) Council as the youth representative.
Says she’s extremely humbled to have the responsibility.
Sharing the testimony on LinkedIn, she wrote:
As someone who is too shy to share my
accomplishments, l’m finally able to post this
announcement.
Earlier this year, I was appointed by Governor Inslee to serve on Washington State’s first ever Environmental
Justice (EJ) Council as the youth representative!
T’m extremely humbled to have this responsibility in holding our government accountable for prioritizing
the health of our people and planet with other strong EJ leaders on the Council.
As a strong believer in
intersectional environmentalism, 1 am honored to continue the fight of our ancestors that have long made it known that environmental justice IS social justice.
