“If you’re too much of a Davido fan, we can’t be friends. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being a fan of my brother, but when you want to talk about David all the time, or when you keep looking at the door, thinking he’s going to walk through, we can’t be friends. Sharon Ademefun, sister of music star Davido, sparked conversation after sharing a list of reasons why someone might not want to be her friend.

In the clip, Sharon was upfront about repeated heartbreaks in Nigerian friendships. She said, “I’ve had my heart broken so many times in Nigeria when it comes to friendships. Number one, it takes a long time before I can call somebody my friend. It takes me a long time for me to let you into my world or into my circle.

I don’t loan money when it comes to friends. If I want to give you money, I’ll give you.

I cannot be your only friend. Get a life. I enjoy my solitude. Another one that’s super important to me is that I might not call you on your child’s birthday. I’m also probably going to forget your birthday sometimes. If I forget your birthday or if you forget mine, it’s not that deep for me. And I’m also not posting you on Instagram if it’s your birthday.

I don’t like it when people famz. And for those of you who don’t understand what famzing is, it is social climbing. I don’t like it when people force themselves on me. And honestly, that’s the fastest way to get me to run in a separate direction.”
