“I Am The First In My Family To Travel Abroad For Studies,”- Ghanaian Man Shares Throwback Photo From 3 Years Ago, Outlines His Achievements

Ghanaian man named Peter Bawuah recounts how he was the first in his family to travel for studies to Canada three years ago.

Peter Bawuah also took time to outline his achievements, gave advise to aspiring youths who intend to relocate abroad.

Peter warns that
many dreams die not because of hardship, but because of silent killers, says do not spend to impress people who do not care.

In his words:

“Three years ago, I left Ghana 🇬🇭 to Canada 🇨🇦 with two bags in my hands filled with Banku, this way chocolate drink and Gari, faith in my heart, and a prayer on my lips. “I am the first in my family to travel abroad for studies, a journey that carries both responsibility and hope.”

At Kotoka, I told God: “The world is waiting to see Your greatness. Let my life shine as a light. I do not know how You will take me to the palace, but if You lead, honor will follow. Give me wisdom to wipe tears, hope to the hopeless, and strength to the weak.” Those words have become my anchor.

When I landed at Toronto airport, I whispered to myself, “I will bear fruit in this land. I will be a door for many youth from less privileged homes.” Those words were seeds, and seeds always grow when planted with faith.

Like Joseph, I did not arrive in comfort. Joseph was sold into Egypt with no family, no friends, only God and his dream. I too arrived as a stranger, but God sent me helpers. Kobby, Maame Ketewa and Bismark in Windsor gave me shelter for three days. Their kindness reminded me that destiny is not walked alone—God always sends people at the right time.

I will also want to thank my brother Chorkor Millionaire, for bringing me to the limelight.

I came with three treasures: God, discipline, and resilience. These have carried me through challenges and victories. In just three years, I have spoken at over thirty-four conferences, traveled to several countries, and met people who have shaped my journey. Yet, I know like Joseph, this is still preparation. Before the palace, there is the pit and the prison. Every stage is molding character for a greater assignment.

But let me share wisdom for those walking the immigrant or student journey. Many dreams die not because of hardship, but because of silent killers. Do not spend to impress people who do not care.

Do not upgrade your lifestyle when you should be upgrading your mind. Too much partying steals destiny. Borrowing to look rich is a trap.

Lack of vision leaves you wandering without direction. Giving up too early can close the door that was about to open. Despising small beginnings blinds you to hidden opportunities. And neglecting relationships cuts off bridges you will need tomorrow.

Joseph teaches us that greatness is never sudden. It is a product of patience, faith, and wisdom. The pit did not end him, Potiphar’s house did not define him, and the prison did not destroy him. Each season was shaping him for the palace.

Today, I look back and see growth. I am not yet where I want to be, but like Joseph, I know God is still preparing a greater table ahead. My journey is proof that resilience and faith can carry you through unfamiliar lands.

Indeed God is the lifter of men🎉❤️.

Stay focused. Stay humble. Stay wise. Your season will surely come.”
