A young Nigerian man, Dimeji Shotunde, who graduated with a 4.95 CGPA from the Lagos States University (LASU) has said he was happy to have made his parents proud with his result.
Shotunde said his father was a mechanic and his mum was a pepper grinder. According him, graduating with a first class was a gift to them.
The young man, who graduated in 2019, got N5 million from the Lagos state government and a scholarship to any university in the world for his masters.
He also got an offer for employment from the state government but he declined it because he would like to go into private practice.
Shotunde said anyone who says school is a scam is wrong because school opens doors for a lot of opportunities.
