Ghanaian Man Who Hawked Bottle Water As A Student Succeeds, Set To Tour 13 Countries

Ghanaian man named Peter Bawuah shares his grass to grace story.

In his words;

“In 2020, I was in Accra, chasing for a better life. I was selling bottled water on an aboboyaa (tricycle). I was at the university but vacation, I will come home to sell water. After someone decided to take care of my education.

My parents couldn’t afford it. I didn’t blame them, but rather it encouraged me to fight for my destiny.

It was a humbling season, but I embraced it with dignity because I carried a dream in my heart. Even in those difficult days, I believed that God was preparing a brighter future for me.

The Lord allowed me to walk through hardship at an early age, and those seasons became my greatest classroom. I know what it means to be broke. I know the pain of rejection and disappointment. I know what it feels like to grow up in a disadvantaged family. Yet every trial refined my character, strengthened my faith, and taught me to trust God’s timing.

I gave God all the glory. When you know every good thing comes from God, pride loses its place.

I chose discipline over excuses. Passion can start a journey, but discipline is what finishes it.

I told myself, “I will never live a small life.” A person’s future is first built in the mind before it is seen by the world.

I stopped thinking only about survival and started thinking about impact. A life that serves others will always outlive a life that serves only itself.

I threw away pride. Pride closes doors that humility quietly opens.

I decided to learn from the wisdom of great people. It is faster to learn from the scars of others than to collect every scar yourself.

I dared to be different. You cannot follow every crowd and still expect an uncommon life.

I stopped wasting money and walked away from relationships that added no value. Every wrong habit steals from your future before you even notice.

I became careful about my circle. Not everyone is meant to go where God is taking you. Sometimes growth begins with goodbye.

I refused to let my background define my future. Where you start is a fact, but where you finish is a choice shaped by faith, character, and perseverance.

Life has taught me this: your greatest investment is not money, it is the person you choose to become. When your character grows, your future grows with it.

This year, I am touring 13 countries. I never thought of this. But God said, Peter I will make you fishers of men.

Looking back, I see that my struggles were not meant to destroy me but to prepare me. Every burden I carried became part of the testimony God was writing.

The same God who sustained me in seasons of lack is the One who continues to lead my steps with purpose, hope, and grace.
