“Being Exposed To Life Now Has Made Me Realize That What I Thought Was Suffering Was Actually A Comfortable Life”-Bbnaija Star, Alex Unusual Shares Reasons Why She Owes Her Parents An Apology
Bbnaija Star Alex Unusual has shared reasons why one must be contented in life, recounting her experiences growing up as a child.
In her words:
“Sometimes I feel like I owe my parents an apology because in as much as I was taught to be a contented child, I was shielded from the realities of life and suffered so much that all I ever needed money for was to give my dad or so I thought because personally, I was taken care of.
Private primary and junior secondary schools, hardly ever outside to mingle with other kids, private estates, a nanny till I was a teenager, sacrifices made to make sure we were not lacking meals or sent home because of school fees, e.t.c
Being exposed to life now has made me realize that what I thought was suffering was actually a comfortable life. I had the guts to mistakenly create the wrong narrative about my earlier life 😩.
Let us give our parents some kudos today. They did their best and should be celebrated. Adulting has taught me a lot about life.
To the kids that’s want more, take time to appreciate what you have right now even if it’s a meal a day. Some people go days with nothing to eat, no hope for education and little exposure to think of dreaming.
To the young adult working hard already, it’s never in vain. It’ll pay off especially later in life when you start to see the roles your early lessons are playing. I’m not saying I’m you should be happy about it, no good person deserves to suffer but when you find yourself in some situations in life, understand that no stage of life is permanent and every stage has a lesson.
To the adult that’s making ends meet and still aiming higher, grinding daily, you see that the past days didn’t break you to pieces unpickable?, you can do it.
Dearest parents, weldone. Your efforts are appreciated. You might or might not not see it now but your hard work will pay off.
Always remember, take a moment to breathe, rest, just a bit. It’s also not a crime when you do for yourself.
Now dear reader, what job have you had to do in the past to make ends meet and what did it teach you?
