CACOVID Announces Plan To Empower 4M Youths With N25BN

The Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) has announced its plan to empower four million Nigerian youths thorough a N25 billion employment programme.

This was disclosed by the president of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, at a press briefing in Lagos on Wednesday, November 25, Daily Trust reports. Dangote also announced the plan by CACOVID to rebuild the police stations which were destroyed during the violence which trailed the #EndSARS protest. He explained that it is important to rebuild the police stations as the country can never get investors in an environment that is not conducive for business.

The billionaire business mogul said the coalition will intervene in the security crisis with a sum of N100bn. Also speaking at the press briefing, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, who is CACOVID’s co-chairman said N43 billion has been spent on various interventions to cushion the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

He said there was support from over 200 well-meaning Nigerians and corporate organisations, amounting to N39.6 billion.
