
Brilliant Nigerian Lady Wins $150,000 Scholarship To Canada University, Set To Earn PhD Degree
A brilliant Nigerian lady named Abisola Zainab Kehinde has been awarded a $150,000 worth of scholarship to study her doctorate degree at the University of British Columbia, Canada.
Abisola Kehinde won the prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship to study her PhD at the University of British Columbia, Canada a year after she bagged a masters degree from the same University.
Abisola shared her achievement of being awarded the scholarship on her Linkedin, describing it as a feeling of intense eagerness. She mentioned that she won the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship.
She mentioned she was awarded a sum of $50,000 per year scholarship to study Pancreatic Cancer at the University of British Columbia in Canada for the entire duration of her studies.
Abisola obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at the University of Lagos Nigeria with an outstanding 4.91 over 5.00 first-class honors. She then proceeded to University of British Columbia for her graduate training.
While at University of British Columbia, she enrolled for her masters degree and earned the masters of science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a 91.8% distinction.
Abisola said she is excited to have received the scholarship as her career dream is to work in an academic or research-based environment where she can apply her educational and leadership skills to contribute to the development of science and health.
