BBNaija: ‘Imisi Deserved The Win’ — Dede Dismisses Oborevwori Aide’s Claim That She Was Robbed

Dede Ashiogwu, first runner-up of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ‘Ten Over Ten’ season, has refuted claims that regional bias influenced the outcome of the reality show.

The show’s finale took place on Sunday, with Imisi emerging as the winner, securing the grand prize of N150 million.

Shortly after the finale, Ossai Ovie Success, media aide to Delta governor, alleged that Dede, who hails from the state, was unfairly denied victory.

Success, who is aide to Sheriff Oborevwori, argued that the outcome of the voting process was not entirely fair and suggested that bias may have played a role in determining the winner.

“Dede was robbed by BBNaija organizers because Delta boy Kellyrae won last year season, so they don’t want another Delta to win this year edition,” he said on X.

“I will be suing Big Brother Naija on behalf of Dede because the voting was rigged.”

Responding at the prize presentation ceremony held on Tuesday at MultiChoice Nigeria’s office in Lagos, Dede dismissed the claim, insisting that Imisi’s victory was well deserved.

“I don’t think it had anything to do with region. It’s about votes—she got the highest votes, and she won. So, she deserves it,” she said.

She added that her focus is now on building a career in entertainment, particularly in acting and other aspects of the creative industry.

“Everything amazing, everything we don’t know, everything we’ve never seen—that’s what I’m bringing,” she added.
