A lot can change in 2 years

2020:

  • Dropped out of school
  • Attempted Suicide
  • Had no skill
  • Came down to Lagos with just a bag
  • I was Squatting

2022:

  • A certified Writer
  • A LinkedIn Tutor
  • I have my apartment
  • Have an award
  • Taught 100+ personal and business brands how to position themselves as an Authority on LinkedIn.

Between 2020 to 2022, I have felt like my dreams were not real or I couldn’t even amount to anything because I dropped out of school, I have had to stop at a point and ask myself “Am I doing the right thing” Sometimes I don’t even know what I’m doing.

Here are a few lessons I have learned through this journey as a 22-year-old young lady:

• You don’t have to do what everyone is doing, take different routes, or walk on different paths but make sure you never lose sight of who you are.

• Relax! the experience is in the PROCESS, don’t try to skip it.

• Commit yourself to constant learning, accept that you know nothing and constantly seek to know more.

• It is okay to have a different perspective on general issues, don’t try to just form an opinion on things based on your environment, and don’t agree with an opinion just so you can look cool.

• Know when to leave, place, relationship, friendship, discern and know when your time there has expired.

• If you are a woman reading this, please don’t get yourself worked up over “what does a man want” rather ask yourself “what do I want”

• Your environment plays a huge role in your OUTPUT, you can’t give what you don’t have. Be around people who want you to be better.

• Be kind to yourself, you owe it to yourself. Even on days when you make mistakes, treat yourself kindly, and say kind words to yourself.

Happy New week!

Cheers 🌹

PS: I’m getting my first degree, soon but not now 😊
