Your Partner Can Choose To Forgive You After Ch+ating, Just Know They Still Have The Right To Walk Away — Pastor Bolaji Idowu

Pastor Bolaji Idowu, during a Sunday service, spoke about infidelity, forgiveness and the realities of marriage, stating that forgiveness does not always mean a person must remain in the relationship.

Speaking on ch+ating in marriage, the cleric said the offended partner still has the right to walk away despite choosing to forgive.

“The truth is, to ch+at in a marriage, always remember that the person has the option to forgive, but forgiveness does not mean they will stay in the marriage. It means that I can also walk away,” he said.

Addressing the way infidelity is sometimes preached about in churches, Pastor Bolaji Idowu noted that women are often made to feel like they have no option but to remain in the marriage after being betrayed.

“You must also remember that, because sometimes the way we preach in church is almost as if the lady has no choice than to forgive and stay there. Listen to me, I understand that perspective, but there are other perspectives also open, legally and spiritually, the person you ch+ated on can move away,” he added.

The pastor also warned about the dangers and consequences that can come with infidelity, revealing that he has seen situations where ch+ating affected the health of innocent partners.

“And I’ve seen people ch+at and they came back and gave their wife HIV,” he stated.
