But a good job doesn’t guarantee your future. I’ve seen people with very good job and after they lost that job, their back to square one.
The federal government promised to create 3million jobs but the reverse is the case as over 3million people have lost their job.
The best way to plan your future is while you’re at the job, discover what you’re passionate about e.g writing, fashion, farming, designing, baking, catering e.t.c
It’s ideal you do business along side your job and in a space of six years it will expand.
If your company lays you off for instance. You will have something to fall back to.
You might want to boast about how relevant you’re in that job because of your experience and the trainings you’ve updated yourself with. But what happens when you retire?
Yes your benefits will be paid, what if you don’t invest it wisely. Remember you’ve no knowledge of business having work in an office the better part of your life.
You don’t want to retire at 60 and start relying on your children, remember their now married with much responsibilities.
It will be very embarrasing if your grand kids visit you and you can’t buy them common toy.
What will occupy your time when you retire? Will you start gossiping with neighbours or your inlaws and children?
When you occupy yourself rather with something you’re passionate about, trust me, you will make living more interesting for yourself.
I remember once Eddie Murphy the popular international Actor was interviewed and asked what it feels like to be an actor? And his response was amazing, he said acting is like having fun and making money.
If you decide to discover your passion, you will work for yourself forever.
When you work for yourself, you make your time more flexible, you wake up at yout own time and get enough rest, you’re more stress free with no health hazard. I hope this article inspires someone today, the earlier the better.
