The Lagos government says motorcycles popularly called Okada and tricycles also known as keke napep have not been banned in the state.

The government clarified that the operators have only been restricted in six local government areas in the state.

The government stated that it implemented sections of the 2018 traffic law which ensures okadas and kekes don’s ply major highways and bridges.

Majority of Lagosians have been complaining that the ban is harsh.
