Veteran Nollywood Actress Nkiru Sylvanus Is Engaged

Nkiru Sylvanus is a famous Nigerian actress, model, Evangelist, Gospel Artist, Producer, Entrepreneur, Inspirational speaker and a media personality. She was born on April 21,1982 in Osisioma, a small town in Aba, Abia State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. She is currently 40 years old.

Nkiru Sylvanus is often regarded as the cry-cry of Nollywood because of her ability to cry in movie and always features in sorrowful movies. She has been in the industry since 1999. always plays the role of a servant, house help, maid and orphan who is been maltreated by her step mother in several Nollywood movies.

Nkiru Sylvanus attended Ohabiam Primary and Secondary School in Aba, Abia State and obtained both her First School Leaving School Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate. While still in secondary school, she started acting at the age of 13 years old, performing in stage play and drama in her school and local church in Aba and was later regarded as the best actress in her local church dramatic club.

After completing her primary and secondary school education in Aba, Nkiru Sylvanus proceeded to Enugu State University of Science and Technology in Enugu, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.

She joined the Nigerian movie industry also known as Nollywood in 1999 and started attending movie auditions and acting as minor character in movies.

In 2000, she rose to fame after starring in the Nollywood tragic movie “A Cry For Help” a movie in which she acted alongside with Clem Ohameze. In the movie she played the role of an orphan who was been maltreated by her foster parents after the death of her biological parents. Her role in the movie earned her an award for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy awards. The movie also won her the award for Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Nkiru Sylvanus in the course of her acting career has acted alongside top Nollywood actors and actresses like Pete Edochie, Georgina Onuoha, Funke Akindele, Ebelle Okaro, Clem Ohameze, Patience Ozokwor, Kenneth Okonkwo, amongst others.

She has acted in movies like A Cry For Help, Egg of Life, Tears of Vengeance, Mirror of Beauty, and many more. She acts mostly in tragic and sorrowful movies and often cry in movies. She has been described one of the most gifted, most skillful, most creative and most talented actresses in Nigeria. She has also been described as one of the most beautiful actresses in Nigeria and also one of the most influential actresses in Nigeria.

Nkiru Sylvanus in the course of her acting career has won several awards which include Best Actress of the Year at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards and Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards. She was the former special senior assistant to the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha on Arts, Entertainment and Tourism.

Nkiru Sylvanus stop acting for a long time. She stopped acting and diverted her interest to other businesses, but later on she made a comeback to Nollywood with latest blockbuster movies to her credits. Aside from acting, she has also ventured in film production. Nkiru Sylvanus has kept her private life secret and has been regarded as one of Nollywood celebrity who has been in the industry without any media scandal.

Nkiru Sylvanus gained popularity in 2003 after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Egg of Life” a movie she starred alongside with Georgina Onuoha, Funke Akindele, Pete Edochie, Ebele Okaro, Clarion Chukwura and other top Nollywood celebrities. The movie earned her a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for Most Accomplished Actress in Nigeria. She has often been described as one of the best actresses of her generation and also one of Nigeria’s most famous actresses known for her sorrowful role in movies and her ability to cry in movies.

She has received several brand endorsement deal with so many multinational firm such as Delta Soap, GLO, MTN, amongst others.
